Well, hello there 👋

I'm J.R. Alcantar and I write stories on the mysterious edge of Texas. It's the kind of fiction inspired by brilliant sunsets, open spaces, and starry nights.

I write for all ages, but especially for my sons age 10 & 12.

The Paranormal Dinner Club

My first project is The Paranormal Dinner Club, a new story set in the interconnected world of The Invisible Man, Frankenstein, and Dr. Moreau. It's about mysterious artifacts, paranormal magic, but most really about family.

The Plan

Currently, my plan is to publish the first story The Paranormal Dinner Club: Dinner with Dr. Moreau in 2025. If Providence is willing, it'll be available in print, eBook, and audiobook formats. I hope it's the first book in a trilogy. We'll see.

Beyond that I've got too many ideas and not enough time.
